Test your game with
a memorable round at Farmstead Golf Links, home of the
Grand Strand's only par 6 hole! Stretching out 7,242
yards from the back tees, Farmstead offers stunning
visual beauty and majestic water hazards. And because
you can select from five sets of tees, you don't have
to be a long ball hitter to score well on this course.
Designed by Willard Byrd, Farmstead's most picturesque
hole is its par 3, 7 tee boxes, which delivers both
variety and challenge. Multiple tee boxes enable the
greens crew to change this special hole dramatically
each day - one day forcing a long iron shot over water
and the next day avoiding the water entirely.
And many a match has been decided
on Farmstead's signature hole, the challenging 767
yard, par 6, 18th. The hole begins in South Carolina
where golfers tee off to a wide sweeping fairway,
then curves around a lake before ending on a expansive
green across the border in North Carolina.
Bo's comments: Despite the name
this course has a Scottish look and feel. Though it
is a bit off the beaten path we highly recommend playing
here. I especially liked the finishing hole it is a
par 6 that starts in SC and ends in NC.
